And While We Blog...
Indian Blogsister Anita's post is a reminder to me how truly remarkable bloggers are. Race, religion, sexual preferences -- all of those things that seem to trigger a need for violence out there in the other world -- are irrelevant here. And still, while we blog, comfortable in our mutual acceptance, Anita's friend
.....who lives in Ahmedabad narrates what she has just seen. Her neighbour’s house has been destroyed, and their belongings ransacked because they belonged to the ‘other community’. The family escaped in the nick of time. She says gets chills up her spine everytime she hears the religious chantings of the mobs, rising to a crescendo.
Will we be next?
